1Dreah
“I am humbled to witness and facilitate the process of conscious evolution that sacred ceremony provides.”
Her Role
1Dreah has decades of experience in group facilitation and professional supervision, as well as a strong background in psychedelic therapy. She works to make transformative experiences safe and accessible for underserved and marginalized communities, including BIPOC and queer folks. At Beckley Retreats, 1Dreah is the Senior Advisor for Program Facilitation, where she serves as a mentor and guide for the growing facilitation team.
Her Story
Growing up with a mother from South America who became a physician in the United States, 1Dreah learned early that personal narrative influences health, happiness, and success. She followed in her mother’s footsteps, and after medical school the two women operated a wellness center, treating patients with substance use disorder, binge eating disorder, depression and anxiety. It was in this work that 1Dreah recognized her patient’s underlying need for healing from adverse childhood experiences. 1Dreah went on to receive training in a variety of modalities, including a fellowship certification in Psychedelic Assisted Therapy with the Integrative Psychiatry Institute and the Multidisciplinary Association of Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) level 1 MDMA training.
Her Why
1Dreah worked through the grief of her mother’s death, as well as the tragic loss of two dear friends, by sitting in ceremony with ayahuasca and psilocybin mushrooms. Having personally witnessed the transformative power of these plants, she now considers it her duty to provide education and harm reduction to others seeking support, as well as the teams providing that support. “I am humbled to witness and facilitate the process of conscious evolution that sacred ceremony provides.”
