Her Story
Dingle Spence is a Jamaican physician* with over 30 years of experience in oncology, palliative care, and end-of-life care. Her work is grounded in a deep commitment to accompanying people through some of life’s most profound experiences, including serious illness, dying, and grief. Alongside her medical training, Dingle has explored a range of complementary and traditional healing modalities, including Traditional Chinese Medicine, Reiki, Shamanic Energy Medicine, and psychedelic facilitation. She has extensive experience supporting people navigating profound and complicated grief and is a founding member of Jamaica Grief Retreats. A lifelong meditator, Dingle brings a calm, grounded, and compassionate presence to her work, together with an ability to sit alongside suffering with steadiness and care. She has worked as a facilitator with Beckley since its inception in 2022, bringing reverence for the sacred and ceremonial dimensions of this work. The opportunity to accompany others through experiences with the potential for deep personal transformation is a source of great joy, humility, and profound gratitude for her.
Her Why
Dr. Spence’s life-long interest in mind, body, and energetic medicine was transformed by psychedelics. Her own guided mushroom journeys have helped her to process and navigate complex emotions, and those experiences have inspired her to bring the powerful medicine to others.
