Sara Remdahl

Ceremony Sitter

“When people feel seen, safe, and supported, transformation becomes possible.”

Her Role

Sara Remdahl is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 15 years of experience in public mental health. Specialized in neuropsychology, she brings a deep understanding of the mind and a calm, attentive presence. As a ceremony sitter, she offers psychological grounding and compassionate support, helping participants feel fully supported throughout the psychedelic experience.

Her Story

Raised in a religious family, Sara was exposed early on to questions of meaning, morality, and the search for something greater. While she never fully identified with traditional religious frameworks, she has long felt the absence of spiritual depth in secular society. Sara’s interest in psychedelics was first sparked by the growing body of research into their therapeutic potential. During a period of fatigue and reassessment in her own life, she enrolled in the Psychedelic Practitioner Core Training at the Synthesis Institute. It was during this training that psychedelic work became personally meaningful — restoring clarity, strengthening her trust in intuition, and reconnecting her with a sense of inner direction. Throughout her career, Sara has explored a wide range of therapeutic approaches and is particularly drawn to Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which she values for its focus on psychological flexibility and meaningful action. Her personal practices — meditation, physical activity, and time in nature — support the same values of presence and intentional living that she brings to her work.

Her Why

Sara believes psychedelics can help people pause, reflect, and reconnect with what truly matters. She sees their potential not only for personal transformation but for encouraging more compassionate, sustainable ways of living — both with ourselves and with the world around us. Beckley Retreats’ blend of science and tradition aligns with her path of integrating psychology and spiritual growth.
