Luke McSwiney

Facilitator & Breathwork Facilitator

"Psychedelics offer not an escape but a return - a remembering that we were never separate to begin with."

His Role

Luke is a Biodynamic Breathwork facilitator and Integrative Psychotherapist. At Beckley Retreats, he serves as co-facilitator and breathwork lead, guiding participants into deeper states of systemic regulation, emotional expression, and embodied connection. His work includes conscious breathwork, somatic awareness, sound, and bodywork, offering a grounded pathway through the retreat experience.

His Story

A philosopher at heart, Luke has long questioned the nature of reality and the parameters of consciousness. He studied Philosophy & Religion while cultivating a deep personal practice rooted in meditation and altered states of awareness. Psychedelics played a formative role early on, offering direct insight into our interconnectedness and the mystery of being. Over time Luke’s attention shifted from seeking answers in revelation, to finding resolution in his breath, body, and the earth beneath his feet. This led him to study somatic experiencing, conscious movement, breath-based trauma work, and latterly psychotherapy. He is deeply committed to holding space for others on their own explorations.

His Why

Luke sees the core challenge of our time as disconnection from our bodies, each other, and the living world. The prevailing response in our culture is distraction, which just deepens the divide. Psychedelics offer not an escape but a return – a remembering that we were never separate to begin with. As we reintegrate, gratitude arises from awe and compassion becomes natural expression. For Luke, this is the essence of the work: to create spaces where such remembering becomes possible, and where healing unfolds through presence, love, and a profound trust in natural wisdom.
