Hannah De Waal
"This work is about crossing a threshold - moving from one reality into another - allowing us to expand our ideas about who we are and how we are meant to live in this world. It is allowing ourselves to get lost and find the way."
Pronouns: she/her/hers
Her Role
Hannah is a Health & Medical Psychologist (MSc), breathwork facilitator, mindfulness practitioner, and student of the shamanic arts. She specializes in integration – bringing learnings from extraordinary experiences into everyday reality – with a focus on embodiment.
Her Story
Hannah is the daughter and granddaughter of academic and spiritual educators from several cultures and traditions.
Hannah spent her upbringing questioning the nature of reality. She sought answers in neuroscience, Buddhist teachings, and alternative states of consciousness, along the way discovering that questions mostly lead to more interesting questions.
Studying the mind led Hannah to explore the body and breath, and she found a passion in learning how individuals relate to the earth across various traditions. Now Hannah most enjoys bridging Western psychology with ancient wisdom practices.
Her Why
As a young adult Hannah experienced a series of initiations, including confrontation with the death of her mother and brother. Death and grief have been her greatest teachers, igniting a deeper relationship with the great mystery of life. She is passionate about creating spaces that invite the full breadth of the human experience, especially those terrains that may be individually and collectively unattended to. This broader integration process brings with it a fullness of living.
