Dr. Dominique Morisano

Facilitator & Clinical Psychologist

“My goal with this work is to leverage the power of community to increase the amount of joy and decrease the amount of suffering in the world”

Her Role

Dr. Dominique Morisano spends her time working as a psychologist* in private practice in New York and Ontario, teaching as an Adjunct Professor, and consulting for companies in the psychedelic space. She holds Certificates in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies and Research from the California Institute for Integral Studies (CIIS), and certificates in MDMA-Assisted Psychotherapy and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy. At Beckley Retreats, Dr. Morisano serves as a retreat co-lead facilitator.

Her Story

In 2008, Dr. Morisano began learning from research colleagues about the significant transformations they had seen in people engaged in therapeutic psychedelic experiences. As a trauma and addiction therapist, she was interested in innovative ways to help people process difficult experiences and find purpose. In 2018, she returned to school to study psychedelic therapies. On graduating, she worked in leadership at Field Trip Health, before diverging to Advise, consult, and focus on applied work: studying plant medicine, training psychedelic therapists, and practicing psychedelic-assisted therapy, both in research (psilocybin) and in private practice (ketamine).

Her Why

As the daughter of two psychologists, Dr Morisano has spent her life thinking about alternate states of consciousness and ways to traverse them to explore, heal, and evolve the psyche…first in the form of dreams and daydreams, art and music, and religious ceremonies, and later in flow states and meditation practices. She is grateful for the teachings of her ancestors and elders, and from Indigenous peoples globally who have shared and continue to steward the traditions of plant medicine.
